**Pillars of Light – Biographical Information** Pillars of Light is a family-owned spiritual apothecary and cultural shop founded in 2023 in Old Town Spring, Texas. Created by Shane and Verna, Pillars of Light was built from a shared desire to create a welcoming space centered on education, community, traditional plant knowledge, Indigenous craftsmanship, and respectful connection with Amazonian cultures. The shop specializes in traditional Amazonian Hapé, master-plant herbs, ceremonial tools, handcrafted Kuripes and Tepis, Indigenous artwork, Shipibo textiles, incense, resins, crystals, botanical products, and other spiritually inspired goods. Many items are sourced through direct relationships with artisans, families, and Indigenous communities in Brazil, Peru, and other regions of the Amazon. Pillars of Light is guided by the belief that these traditions should be approached with respect rather than treated simply as products. Education, ethical sourcing, cultural acknowledgment, reciprocity, and community service are central to its mission. A portion of purchases is dedicated to giving back to Indigenous families and communities connected with the traditions represented in the shop. Alongside its retail space, Pillars of Light supports educational gatherings, plant-integration discussions, sound healing, Reiki, meditation, breathwork, Hapé education, and other community-centered spiritual practices through its associated healing arts space. Its guiding message is simple: **“From the Amazon to Texas to You.”** Pillars of Light continues to grow as a bridge between traditional craftsmanship, plant knowledge, modern spiritual practice, and the local community while honoring the people, cultures, and lands from which these traditions originate.
