The causes of soul loss. And how shamans recover lost parts of the soul

    By Ahamkara Shaman

Any kind of violence (including sexual, physical, or emotional) can result in the loss of a part of one’s soul. This can occur in various situations such as accidents, participating in war, acts of terrorism, natural disasters, undergoing surgery, struggling with drug addiction, experiencing divorce, or the death of a loved one – any event that causes deep shock.

Indications of soul loss commonly include dissociation, wherein an individual feels detached from his own body and from life, with a lack of vitality. Chronic depression, suicidal tendencies, post-traumatic stress disorder, compromised immune function, unexplained feelings of sadness and longing, and addictions (to substances, food, work, or excessive spending) can also be symptoms of a fragmented soul. These addictions serve as attempts to fill an inner void.

When someone claims that he’s never been the same since a particular event in a negative way, it suggests the presence of soul loss. Similarly, individuals who promote the destruction of other forms of life for personal gain are likely victims of soul loss. Those who believe that material possessions, such as buying another car or acquiring more goods, will bring happiness are also afflicted by a fragmented soul.

It appears that we are currently witnessing a significant loss of the collective soul of our planet.

Coma is another manifestation of soul loss, where the majority of the soul resides outside the physical body. Shamanic practitioners face challenges when working with individuals in comatose states for various reasons. A shaman must determine the desired direction of the soul – whether it wishes to return to the body or requires aid in transitioning to the afterlife, resulting in the patient’s passing.

Interestingly, in shamanic cultures where the concept of soul loss was extensively understood, individuals who experienced injuries were given an opportunity to retrieve their lost souls within 3 days of the incident or traumatic experience. However, we have largely neglected soul retrieval in modern times, causing contemporary shamans to search for lost soul fragments for extended periods of time, ranging from 10 to 30 years or even more.

Shamanic cultures also recognized that leading an imbalanced life could lead to illness or other issues.

I hope that you recognize the importance of reclaiming your soul in your own life, as well as assisting others in rediscovering their own purpose – for themselves, their loved ones, and our community. This is a critical task in our present era.
