Embark on a shamanic journey led by Bedouins through the stunning desert mountains of Sinai, Egypt. Marvel at the sunrises on Mount Sinai, where Moses is said to have received the ten commandments. Engage in a true vision quest in true silence and connect with the great mystery, as generations of sages have before you. A Bedouin team and elders from the Jabaliya tribe will share their rare knowledge of natural medicines, cultural heritage, and folk stories.
Our journey begins at the Red Sea and includes hiking on foot, taking tea breaks by campfires, resting by flowing water orchards, and bathing in cold springs during the hot hours. You’ll sleep on the ground under a blanket of stars at night. The slow pace of hiking on ancient paths, sometimes between rocks and cliffs, allows you to experience “being.” Some hiking requires physical effort on a long climb. (1500 m to -2400 m altitudes; 36°C to 23°C temp.). If a circular route is planned for the day, you may opt to rest or ride a camel.
Nature and shamanic Israeli experts will enhance our experience, and we’ll hike alongside Bedouin camels carrying our supplies, food, and luggage. Meet at the Israeli side of the Egyptian border and spend the first day near the coast, where you can enjoy the superb beaches and coral reefs.
