The Five elements and their impact on human life

    By Ahamkara Shaman

From astrology or various other sources, you may already be aware of the existence of five elements: fire, earth, air, water, and Spirit. These elements are present in all living beings and natural phenomena on Earth, and they interact and influence each other through consistent relationships. They also have an impact on all movements and changes in the Universe, including events, people, and objects.

In the grand scheme of things, a human being in the vast Universe is simply an object that occupies a particular place within its structure and follows its laws. Since everything in the Universe is composed of the Five Elements, a person’s life and destiny are also determined by the combination of these elements.

The influence of the five elements on a person can sometimes deviate from what is indicated in their horoscope. Typically, a person’s elements are imbalanced, with one or two elements prevailing. In some rare cases, certain elements may be completely absent, leading to the destruction and decomposition of spiritual structures, resulting in a state akin to being a zombie, someone who feels nothing and sees nothing.

For instance, if the element of fire prevails in a person, his character will also exhibit predominant fire-like traits. He will be decisive, energetic, hardworking, and passionate in areas such as work and love. However, negative qualities such as impulsiveness and aggressiveness may also be present. Most often, such individuals tend to achieve their desires effortlessly, sweeping away any obstacles in their path – they possess natural leadership qualities.

On the other hand, if the element of water dominates in a person, he will exhibit traits such as gentleness, patience, flexibility, kindness, adaptability, and the ability to find quick solutions to difficult situations. Yet, there may also be negative qualities like excessive softness or subservience to despots.

The element of air contributes characteristics such as sociability, openness, lightness, nonchalance, while also potentially leading to thoughtlessness and restlessness.

Individuals with a predominance of the earth element will display qualities like thoughtfulness, a willingness to take on others’ problems, a sense of fairness, and possibly heaviness, conservatism, and intransigence.

The fifth element, “Spirit,” is meant to be present in all individuals and represents the source of all existence, the Divine Light. However, in reality, this is often not the case. The level of a person’s spirituality depends on his accumulated experiences from past lives, known as karma. One can enhance his spirituality through a sincere heartfelt attitude towards harmony, beauty, love, nature, the study of various spiritual teachings, and encounters with the spirits of the elements and divine emanations.

The presence of this fifth element manifests itself in the various impacts these individuals have on the lives of humanity as a whole. Examples include figures such as Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Solomon, Moses, as well as modern figures like Blavatsky, Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Maharishi, Yogananda, and many others. These teachers serve their missions on Earth, each with diverse levels of understanding and bright manifestations of independent individualities. They are all necessary, and each person chooses the teachers who resonate with their soul.

To improve one’s life and gain a divine understanding of the universe, it is essential to balance the five elements within oneself: fire, air, earth, water, and Spirit. It is desirable for each person to identify which element predominates within him over the others. Sometimes, the elements may mix and manifest in pairs, or one of the elements may be less dominant compared to the others in a person’s character. Observing one’s behavior and that of others from the perspective of this information for several days is important. This self-awareness can help individuals better understand themselves and the people around them.

To comprehend the fifth element, Spirit, one must first understand and appreciate the other four elements. Spirit is perceived intuitively by individuals, rather than through the analysis of our limited minds.
