About Tonawaka
Tonawaka is a “Temaxtianitl” – a person who applies the traditional knowledge system that has been transmitted from instructor to apprentice and father to son. In his case, he has been learning the Toltec/Aztec sciences and disciplines since he was a child. He comes from a lineage of traditional doctors and healers who have passed down their sacred knowledge for over 5,000 years. Tonawaka’s family are regarded as dynastic guardians of obsidian.
