The Ancient Art of Tasseomany – a 4 week program with Amy Lou Taylor

Tue Jun 3, 2025 2:00 PM – Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:00 PM EDT

Online, Zoom

Tasseomancy is the Art and Practice of divination by the interpretation of symbolic patterns made by tea leaves in a teacup. Being an active divination system in Europe for hundreds of years, its roots are much older. Tea is steeped in superstition and reading fortunes with it hearkens back to days of the old divinatory art forms of the Shamans; interpreting symbols, patterns and formations made by random objects like the throwing of the bones by South African Sangoma or the Coca Leaf readings of the Andean Paqos.

With over 30 years experience as a tea leaf reader, and over 20 years teaching Tasseomancy, Amy will share with you all her knowledge and the method she started with when she began using the Art. In this course we will take you into the more finite details of tea leaf reading.

Throughout the course Amy will be discussing how this form of divination came to be the Art it is today. She also will be covering the history of tea reading and tea as well as discussing what teas are best for cup reading. She will help you discover the nuances of teapots, teacups & saucers, and their significance in the Tasseomancers process.

You will also learn how to brew a proper cup of tea for a reading, the compass of the cup, how to toss your cup to obtain an effective leaf spread in the cup. We will learn about symbolism attached to the Art and look at your intuition’s interpretations.

By the end of this course you will be equipped with all the tools you will need to continue your practice, and to be able to grow your skills to be an effective and adept Tasseomancer. A great opportunity for Shamanic practitioners to add another divinatory and diagnostic tool to their tool kit.

This 4 week program will take place on Tuesdays June 3,10,17 and 24 from 2-4pm NYC / 7-9pm UK / 8-10pm CEST. Each session will be recorded and the recording of all sessions will be available until August 15th.
