“I was brought up with the trees. My Uncle Jack was a woodsman, a man who looked after trees and woods, down on South Dartmoor, and was one of the wise and cunning folk of the Devon villages where I grew up. He taught me the old tree-wisdom our family had been brought up in for many generations. Now I offer it to you.
The spirits of the trees of the goddess still live in the woods and they will speak with us, show us things, take us on journeys, if we ask. Each of our trees is a letter of the ogham, and each tree holds an aspect of the goddess and part of our ancient lore. The goddess will help us to find the old ways that our elders knew … the ways where reality is huge and exciting rather than small and frightening.
The trees will speak to you, they will draw the kenning, the knowing, out of you … all you have to do is ask.”
