Yes there is from memory. I used to run forums for a living a few years back.
The forum back office software run by the mods here should allow them to make it so that any new member has to be authorised by the mod. This would cut back on the number of auto sign ups from these spammers.
Or the forums back office may allow for a word that has to be typed in before you can finalise the rego. This would stop the spam bots from entering.
Please consider looking into stopping the daily spam as it is really making it hard to use this forum.

I second this motion.
It's getting pretty annoying to have to filter through ten new responses to find the two or three that are not spam.

Agreed, it is such a shame that most notifications I get are to spam posts. I'm starting to ignore most and only come here once a week. Actual forum use seems to have declined - not sure if the two are connected.
