Greetings
I would like to ask if anyone has been asked to be a spirit body guard escort to accompany either a lost soul or a frightened spirit, or perhaps even a "V.I.P." spirit through a difficult course either through the underworld or other worlds. And have you ever accepted the mission? What are your experiences on those journeys and how was your return journey experienced.
This is different to pointing the way for another to follow. It is about walking the journey with them to ensure they arrive safely.
Thanks
Elizabeth

and greetings to you, enocheye
curious you should ask that:
I have been working (remotely) with my father-in-law who will soon pass from this life. One evening, as I sat with him, another "somebody" showed up.
I wasn't certain what to do, as this soul had a strong presence. There was a sadness, a helplessness, and a trust that I would know what to do.
At first, I just held sacred space and allowed the soul/spirit to be with me. I asked who it was, but no reply was given. But the overwhelming sense of trust and strength was there. So I helped it through the soul's flight to the light. It was so gentle and... well, soft. That does sound like an odd word to describe what I felt, but I have no other.
Only then could I "see" my father-in-law again and resumed the work I had started with him. But what remained with me was the tenderness of the soul's flight.

Hi everyone.
I have helped people cross over to the spirit world during dream states and by also holding a circle of light where the use of tiptoloy can be employed (a form of physical mediumship). Although I would not suggest to anyone to have a go at that unless they have had the right knid of training and are confident in their ability.
I find doing this kind of work really rewarding to do and are told that when you do help someone it gets noticed in the spirit world. Do you mind me asking how you go about this kind of work fom a shamanic point of view?

This action is traditionally performed by one of two people, a shaman or a spirit warrior (in my native language Etaminua – shaman and Tah-sogah (spirit warrior). In traditional societies, a spirit warrior was one whose job was just as their title describes spiritual warfare. They often perform spiritual protection and combat services for people. Escorting souls was a common practice for such warriors, especially escorting a shaman in the performance of his duties.
As an Etaminua, I have performed such services myself.

I'll go along with the Shaman specialized in inter-dimensional combative services. I've worked four warzones on this planet in that work.
As far as helping people to "cross over" and get to the other side safely, visions of grandeur on the one thinking they are qualified to do so.
Its the 21st century. Physics is now part of Shamanism.

It's apparently called Psychopomp and is mostly finding some way to get the spirit to remember itself so it will also remember it's dead.
