If your patient is sick and you have to extract it out. The illness is self inflicted. If it's a evil  spirit that his only intention is to torment the patient and inable him to simply be himself. I tink there's a big difference between the two. And If it's the evil spirit one of the two what makes the patient so special for this spirit to devote its existence in tormenting the patient???? Many Blessings JIM

Through the Law of Attraction and by what the person thinks will attract "evil spirits" that torment. We are fortunate in the fact that we are Shaman because most spirits realize that we will be able to get rid of them very easily,. still this does not make us immune to such forces only less susceptible to them because we are protected and guarded by very strong spiritual energy. I see it as the victim mindset at an extreme, the person who attracts the evil spirit will often times have a victim mentality. This is not true in all cases because sometimes a person is simply at the wrong place at the wrong time and then they have themselves a hitch hiker that torments them until they are extracted by someone else.....This is just my perspective of it all and many other opinions are valid as well , I just wanted to throw in my two cents as they say.

Everyone has a good side and a bad side to themselves.
Knowing the extreme limits your good side/bad side will go to, is to know thyself well.
Find the boundaries of your own mind and if you want, expand your ideas, but keep your integrity intact. Whilst you are true to yourself you know who you are and anything foreign to you can be scrutinised carefully before it is accepted as part of your new truth.

Walk your path well. :D

Healing - Is there a difference between illness or a spirit possession

SOUL LOSS is a condition that can be experienced in two ways.

Partial
Partial soul loss is like losing a part of the body. Like losing an appendage, one can lose a portion of their soul energy. It is necessary to retrieve this lost energy to maintain one's spiritual well-being. Symptoms of partial soul loss are memory loss, recurring illness, and nightmares or dream images such as abduction, being lost, or missing limbs or property. Symptoms of partial soul loss are: memory loss, nightmares, or dream images of abduction, being lost, or missing limbs or property, and recurring illness.

Complete
Complete soul loss is when one's soul is in a disassociated state and is lost from the physical body. Most often the result of this condition is coma. The result of this condition is coma.

SPIRIT DISEASE occurs when malignant energy is introduced into the soul and manifests itself throughout the soul body. It occurs as a result of spiritual illness, spirit attack, or possession. In the curing of spirit disease, the Shaman must work quickly, for the illness often works extremely fast. If left untreated, spiritual disease will manifest into the physical body causing any number of symptoms.

POSSESSION occurs in the following four categories:

Partial
Partial possession is a condition in which the possessing power or entity has limited control over the victim.

Temporary
Temporary possession is a condition in which the possessing power or entity has limited duration of possession over the victim.

Conditional
Conditional possession is a condition in which certain situations or conditions give strength needed to the possessing power or entity to achieve possession.

Complete
Complete possession is a condition in which the possessing power or entity has completely overtaken the victim's soul and has achieved complete control over the victim's body.

Any of these can be a result of the persons actions - inflicted by way of another person or entity - or by accident, such as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's not that the patient is so special, it's because the patient has somehow called and/or is receptive to the entity.

And it isn't necessarily there to "torment" the patient, although the conditions may appear as torment. What generally occurs is the the entity's energy is not compatible with the patient's, or the entity is using the patient as a "host" body. In either case, the entity must be removed for the health of the patient.

And yes, there is a BIG difference between illness and possession, just like there is a BIG difference in how the condition is dealt with. You wouldn't use a sledge hammer to squeeze an orange.
