Does anyone know of any drumming circles in London or Essex areas please? Especially circles that specialize in Saami or Siberian shamanism. Also workshops on these types of shamanism would be good.

I think this one is still going - Karen or Shenoah will be able to tell you.
LONDON
Open Drumming Group
The London Open Drumming Group was set up in June 1997. We meet every month in Vauxhall, London. Our group's aim is to provide a safe and sacred environment for people to practise core shamanic techniques:
we work with drum and rattle, with dance and song and of course with the shamanic journey to the Spirit World. We are a space for newcomers to shamanism to develop their shamanic work.
We have created both somewhere to work with serious issues, to develop this path we walk with our spirits, and a relaxing environment where we can talk about our shamanic experiences with other practitioners. Members of the group are expected to be responsible for themselves, and it should be emphasised that this is not a therapy group.
All members of this email group are able to attend as they have either attended a basic workshop, or have worked shamanically with someone known to the organisers. As a minimum attendees should have attempted an Upper World journey, a Lower World journey and to journey for another person.
Please bring rattle, a scarf, something to sit/lie on, and a packedlunch. We ask for £5 towards the cost of the space and tea/coffee.The nearest tube and train is Vauxhall station.
Members are expected to contribute to one meeting per year. This cantake many form such as a journey you have always wanted to do, a ritual, a theme for the day . Please contact Karen or David with your ideas or activities. It would be useful if you could let one of us know if you are coming- that way we can plan the day more effectively and alert you to any homework that you may need to bring. Please find below the revised dates of the London Open Drumming group. Please note the changes to April and May.
"Meets on the second Saturday of each month. Each time we meet has a theme - recent ones have included healing, artwork and storytelling. "

Here in the Philippines, drumming circles are a common especially in the northern provinces. These are actually rituals to pay homage/respect to their ancestors, and thanksgiving as well. If you have the budget you should come visit. April Scott Research and Administrative Support | Writing and Translation

Hello to all:
I am open to found a new drum circle here in Center Mexico, Queretaro region.
We could meet twice or more per month on my horse ranch, just half an hour south of the city, indoor or outdoor possibilities.
I also am organizing a workshop to learn practically how to build your own shamanic drum.

For those who have a drumming circle in the Northern Hemisphere, now is a great time to "drum in" the ancient festival of Imbolc [Imbolg] - an auspicious time to empower personal "New Beginnings". Aligning with the en-LIGHT-enment of this season - as recognised by our ancestors for thousands of years - can be a great crucible for personal transformation.
