Native American Apache Shamanism: The Ranger Prayer

he Ranger Prayer is the most powerful way that I co-create with the forces of Spirit and Nature. I was taught this by the Apache Medicine Chief Snowleopard, director of Search & Rescue International and Commander of the Alaska Airborne Rangers. This is a simple, powerful, beautiful, ancient ritual that calls in and gives thanks to the four directions, beings and forces of Nature and Great Spirit. Then you state your intention, breathe it into the blue corn meal or tobacco from your medicine pouch. Finally you place it upon the ground and say, "It is a good day to die." and watch what happens. Be careful what you ask for. Nearly every time I do this, my life changes dramatically.
