Deena MetzgerDeena Metzger is a healer, author, ritual practitioner and storyteller. Teaching and counseling for more than 35 years she developed therapies (Healing Stories) which creatively address life-threatening diseases, spiritual and emotional crises, as well as community and political disintegration. With her husband, Michael Ortiz Hill, she brought the tradition of Daré, from Zimbabwe to North America. Relying on dream wisdom and Council as well as music healing and energy work, Daré exists for the sake of restoring beauty and bringing healing to individuals, community and the natural world. She, like her husband, has been initiated by and has worked alongside a Nganga, an indigenous medicine man, Mandaza Kandemwa, from Zimbabwe.

As a young boy, Naba was able to attend European schools at the same time he was progressing through Traditional Education and Spiritual Initiations. As he grew, Naba continued his education, and not only did he attend the University, but he also excelled in his traditional and spiritual education, eventually surpassing the level of his teachers to become one of the most knowledgeable Spiritual Masters of the Dogon people.
